Our Company Policy

At Hayes Funeral Home, we offer the finest in services ~ something that everyone deserves. We strive to treat everyone we come in contact with the same way we would want to be treated. We pay close attention to detail and are constantly dealing with ways to perfect all areas of our service. We attempt to have funeral services unique to the person that is being remembered, bearing in mind that no two people are the same.
Our History

Hayes Funeral Home, Incorporated, was established in March of 1971 at 10412 Highway Six, Alta Loma, Texas, by our founder, James A. Hayes, Jr. and his wife, Lynne Williams Hayes. When the building was constructed, the lower level was exclusively used for the funeral business, while the upper level served as a residence. It soon became apparent that more room was needed for the business, so in 1979, extensive remodeling was done to make the entire building completely funeral home in nature. The selection room and offices were moved upstairs. There was also an employee's lounge added for the comfort and relaxation of our staff.

In 1983, the building was devastated by Hurricane Alicia. A complete and extensive refurbishing was done to the entire structure, along with some remodeling.

1985 brought the need once again for larger facilities. Therefore after extensive planning, construction began for the addition of a new chapel, along with family rooms, foyer, pallbearer and minister rooms, storage facilities and paved and lighted parking areas.

1990 saw even more remodeling, with the addition of a new downstairs office, total revamping of our main upstairs office and the doubling of the size of our paved parking area.

Throughout the years our company has become well known and respected not only for its thoughtful consideration for the families it serves, but also for the tender dignity with which it cares for loved ones, and for the particular attentions it gives to details. This reputation has not been built by only a few, but rather by everyone that has been associated with this organization that has cared enough to put the feelings of the families we have served ahead of their own. We strive to treat everyone like we would want a member of our family treated.
