Alexis Omar Ortega Escoto
WEBSTER – Mr. Alexis Omar Ortega Escoto, 34, loving father, son, uncle, and friend passed from this life August 5, 2011 in El Salvador while visiting friends and family.
Born October 15, 1976 in San Salvador, El Salvador, Alexis graduated from Don Bosco High School and moved to Webster, Texas at the age of 18 to be near family and begin a new adventure. He was employed as a boilermaker and welder at several local refineries. Alexis enjoyed traveling, taking pictures, watching the Lakers, spending time with friends and family, especially with his two sons, Lucas and Dominic. Alexis’ energetic, happy, unforgettable spirit will be missed.
Alexis is survived by his sons, Lucas Alexander Ortega and Dominic Alejandro Ortega; mother, Encarnacion Escoto; father, Herbert Omar Ortega of San Salvador; brothers, Ricardo Escoto and wife, Ingris Sujey, Josua Ortega; sisters, Aleyda Ortega, Magaly Ortega; former wife, Lucia Salazar Ortega; Dominic’s mother, Ruth Lobo; nieces and nephews, Christopher Ortega, Melany Ortega, Corina Escoto, and Giovana Escoto, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Texas City, Reverend Tom Ponzini, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park.
