Camella Tombrella Jordan
SANTA FE – Mrs. Camella Tombrella Jordan passed from this life Thursday evening, May 21, 2009, in Houston.
Born January 31, 1919 in Houston, Mrs. Jordan was a lifelong resident of Alta Loma. She had owned and operated Jordan’s Lucky 7 Grocery Store in Hitchcock for 25 years, was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society and was also a member of the Hitchcock Home Demonstration Club and Hitchcock Lioness Club.
Preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Joseph Jordan; parents, Joseph and Carmella (Corso) Tombrella; brothers, Pete, Jack, Ed and Charlie; sisters, Lilly Tombrella Amato, Mary Raitano, Phyllis Marullo and Angelina Marullo, survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Betty Ann Jordan of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Stephen Jordan and wife, Heather, Chris Jordan; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Travis and Ainsley Jordan; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Reverend John Kappe, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Casketbearers will be Chris Jordan, Stephen Jordan, Travis Jordan, Frank Marullo, Frank J. Marullo, Joe Marullo and Joe Tambrella. Honorary bearers will be Kaylee Jordan, Paul Jordan, Johnny Raitano, Frank Tambrella and Joe Kelly Tombrella.
Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. Monday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501. A Vigil Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Joe Kelly officiating followed by a rosary.

The family would like to thank Guardian Angel Home Health Care and Santa Fe EMS for the exceptional care that was given to Mrs. Jordan.
