Dorothy A. Eversole

 

     HITCHCOCK - Mrs. Dorothy A. Eversole passed from this life Sunday, September 9, 2007, in Houston.

 

     Born April 7, 1929 in Guy, TX, Mrs. Eversole had been a resident of the Galveston County area for 56 years, previously of Guy, TX.  She had been employed as a payroll administrator for TEI for 15 years and enjoyed playing Bingo and family get togethers.

 

     She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 53 years, Clarence Floyd Eversole, Sr.; parents, Joseph and Pauline (Sitta) Mikeska; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Olga Mikeska; sisters, Vlasta and husband, Ludy Surovec, Leona Wilhite and husband, Howell; brother-in-law, Len Spalding.

 

     Survivors include her sons, Clay Eversole and wife, Gwen, Bruce Eversole and wife, Gwen, all of Hitchcock; daughters, Gayle Anderson of Hitchcock, Jean Benoist and husband, John of Katy, Tracie Waggoner and husband, Justin of Dickinson; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Calvin Mikeska and wife, Jean of Guy, TX; sister, Viola Spalding of Hempstead, TX; sister-in-law, Sallee Eversole of Santa Fe; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

 

     Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at Guy Public Cemetery in Guy, TX with Deacon Robert Wilhite, nephew of Mrs. Eversole, officiating under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
