Doug Plummer
 

   JARRELL - Mr. Doug Plummer passed from this life Friday, July 13, 2007, at his home.

 
   
Born January 12, 1926 in Anahuac, Texas, Mr. Plummer had been a resident of Jarrell for 3 years, previously of La Marque.  He had been a lifelong commercial fisherman, served in the US Army during WWII and had been a member of First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge. 
 
   
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esta Mae (Tabor) Plummer; son, George Ernest Wadkins; parents, Clifford Charles and Barbara Ann (Nelson) Plummer; brothers, Earnest Ben Plummer and Robert L. Plummer.
 
   
Survivors include his daughter, Joe Etta Donati of La Marque; 2 granddaughters; 3 great-grandsons; sister, Mary Till of Jarrell, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
 
   
Funeral services will be conducted 5:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2007, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Hwy 6, Hitchcock, (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Alton Kelley officiating.  A private burial will take place at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
