Elizabeth Crumby Carlisle
SANTA FE - Mrs. Elizabeth Crumby Carlisle, affectionately known to her family as “Yanny”, passed from this life Wednesday morning, July 15, 2009, at her home.
Born July 25, 1913 in Alvin, TX, Mrs. Carlisle had been a resident of Galveston County for 79 years. She had been a homemaker and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Alta Loma.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Ted Crumby and Glenn Carlisle; parents, Robert and Mary (Gray) Harp; sons, Jerry Crumby, Henry Crumby and Tom Carlisle and great-great granddaughter, Kristin Crumby, survivors include her son, T. R. “Jabo” Crumby, Jr. and wife, Peggy of Santa Fe; grandsons and their wives, Jerry Crumby, Mike and Janet Crumby, Larry Mark and Suzanne Crumby, Curtis and Karen Crumby; brother, Walter Harp of Houston; sister, Edna Stokes of La Marque; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, July17, 2009, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Del Toler officiating.
