Hugh Brotherton

 

SANTA FE – Mr. Hugh Ashley Brotherton passed from this life Friday, March 2, 2007, in Houston.

 

     Born October 25, 1922 in Charleston, West Virginia, Mr. Brotherton was a longtime resident of Santa Fe.  He retired as a construction supervisor with Carbide after 35 years of service, was a member of Faith Bible Church in Hitchcock, had served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

 

     Survivors include his wife of over 44 years, Yoshiko Brotherton of Santa Fe; sons Shane M. and wife, Dana of Sugar Land, Christopher W. and wife, Michelle of Ocala, FL, Gregory K. and wife, Eugenia of Leavenworth, KS; and 9 grandchildren.

 

     A private cremation has been conducted by Hayes Funeral Home, and private graveside services will be conducted at a later date.  Those who wish to visit with the family may come by their home from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2007, for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
