Kennie Dale Walker
SWEENY – Mr. Kennie Dale Walker went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 12, 2007, at his home.
Born February 18, 1958 in Wharton, Kennie had been a lifetime resident of the Sweeny area. He had worked for numerous years as a timekeeper in the construction industry, was a member of His Grace Assembly of God Church and the NRA and enjoyed spending time gardening.
Preceded in death by his father, Alton Parker Walker, Jr., survivors include his daughter, Kellie Dawn Walker; mother, June Walker; brother, Gary Walker and his wife, Jean, all of Sweeny, Ronnie Walker and wife, Mary of Alvin; sister, Sharon Hebert and husband, Randy of Pasadena and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2007, at His Grace Assembly of God Church, Pastor Wayne Vinson officiating. Interment will follow at Sweeny Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, Hitchcock, Texas, (409) 925-3501.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the church, 109 West 7th St., Sweeny.
