Louis Edward Herrera

 

KEMAH, TEXAS - Mr. Louis Edward Herrera passed from this life Wednesday morning, November 16, 2011, in League City, Texas.

 

     Born December 30, 1929 in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Mr. Herrera had been a resident of Kemah since 1974. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy, served as a peace officer with the Las Cruces Police Department and worked for 40 years as a construction engineer for Herrera Construction, James E. Webber Construction, Builders Square, and The K-Mart Corporation, finishing his career as a building inspector for the city of Seabrook, Texas.

 

    Preceded in death by his wife, Isabel Josephine (Manzanares) Herrera; parents, Martin H. and Petra Cecilia (Ogaz) Herrera and son, Greg Edward Herrera; survivors include his son, Marty Herrera and wife, Lori; daughter, Felicia Herrera; grandson, Michael Herrera;  sisters, Dolores Pilar Howell and Lela Sanders.

   

    A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, (409) 925-3501.
