Louise Elizabeth Menchaca
SANTA FE - Mrs. Louise Elizabeth Menchaca passed from this life Thursday night, April 8, 2010, at UTMB in Galveston.
Born November 15, 1950 in Richmond, IN, Mrs. Menchaca had been a resident of Santa Fe for 29 years and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was a faithful wife, unconditional loving mother and grandma, a strong friend and dedicated to all. May she live forever through the joy of all our memories of her.
Preceded in death by her mother, "Grandma Little", she is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Rufus Luis Menchaca of Santa Fe; daughters, Tamra Sanchez, Sonya Menchaca, all of Santa Fe; brother, Francis and Van Little and Family of Port Arthur; grandchildren, Desiree Sanchez and Angela Mendez.
Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Reverend John Kappe, celebrant. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Casketbearers will be Marcus Mendez, Dee Sanchez, David Sweeny, Chad Theobald, Dan Theobald, and Miguel Uresti. Honorary Casketbearer will be Phillip Tilitzki and Donnell Wilredge.
Visitation and viewing will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Monday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with a vigil service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
