Billy Ray Brown
SANTA FE - Mr. Billy Ray Brown passed from this life Saturday morning, December 6, 2008, at his home.
Born June 12, 1965 in Galveston, Mr. Brown had been a resident of Santa Fe for 35 years, previously of Galveston. He had been employed as an operator at CP&P for 10 years and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #3789. Mr. Brown was an avid fisherman and hunter, had a gift for restoring old cars and was part of the “Chemical Process” Bar-B-Q cook off team.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Tina Brown; son, Cody Ray Brown; mother Sharon Grounds; father and stepmother, Pat and Sue Brown; brothers, Mike Brown, Ricky Brown; nieces, Kimberly, Jennifer and Ashley Brown; nephew, Michael Brown; father-in-law, Butch Beaulieu; special friends, Kenny Gould, Lance Nelson, Kathy Nelson, Edward O’Callaghan and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery.
