Bobby McAdams


HITCHCOCK - Mr. Bobby McAdams passed from this life Sunday night, September 23, 2007, in Houston. Born September 6, 1940 in Groveton, TX, Mr. McAdams had been a resident of Hitchcock for over 30 years. He had been employed as a painter for Union Carbide for 30 years, served in the US Navy, was of the Baptist faith, had been a member of the Trail Riders Group, IBPAT Painters Local #1008 and enjoyed horse riding, motorcycle riding, playing the guitar and most of all, he loved to dance.

He was preceded in death by his son, Evan Early McAdams; daughter, Susan McAdams; parents, Evan E. and Alice (Antley) McAdams; brothers, Clayton Earl and Charles David McAdams; sisters, Faye Steel, Lonita Hillis, Joy Meyers and Shirley Warwick. Survivors include his loving wife of 13 years, Marti McAdams; son, Brian McAdams and wife, Robin of Santa Fe; stepdaughters, Dawn Larsen and husband, Bryan of Dickinson, Diane Gilmore of New Hampshire; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Robinson and husband, G. E. of Fairfield, TX.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2007, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Easley officiating.
