Carlton Joseph “Joey” Palmer
DICKINSON - Mr. Carlton Joseph “Joey” Palmer passed from this life Saturday morning, October 30, 2010, peacefully at home.
Born October 2, 1958 in Mobile, Alabama, Mr. Palmer had been a lifetime resident of Harris/Galveston Counties. Following his service in the United States Navy, he had been employed as a draftsman in the oil refining industry and enjoyed all of nature. Joe especially loved sitting by the water, fishing and feeding the ducks and birds. He loved being “Papaw” to all of his family and will be remembered for his big heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford James Palmer; grandparents, Wilma Corridori, Luis Corridori, James Clifford Palmer, Alimae Palmer and his uncle, Stan Wasiak of Mobile, Alabama.
Survivors include his mother, Wilma Franceen Palmer of Jersey Village; sons, Justin Craig Palmer of Lake Jackson, Christopher Jolly; his significant other, JoAnn Palmer of Dickinson; brothers, Clifford Palmer Jr. , Clifton Palmer, and Chris Palmer; sisters, Debbie Tilton, Cindy Hill, Cheryl Henderson, Angie Palmer, Sandra Arellano and Lisa Russell; stepdaughters, Shawneica Atkins of Dickinson and PK Driver of San Leon; grandchildren, Justin Craig Davis, Kayla Atkins, Joseph Atkins, Tara Atkins, Jordan Driver, Jared Lambert and William James Lambert; great-grandchildren, Joseph Martin Atkins and Jason Maze Atkins; 21 nieces and nephews; 14 great nieces and nephews.
