HOUSTON – Mr. Charles Columbus “Charlie” Brown passed from this life Thursday morning, January 14, 2010, in Houston.
Born September 27, 1944 in Nashville, TN, Mr. Brown had been a resident of Houston for over 40 years. He was a self-employed antique dealer and enjoyed buying, repairing and selling antiques.
Preceded in death by his father, Walter Dallas Brown, survivors include his wife of over 31 years, Oralia “LaLa” Brown; daughter, Charlee Nicole; son, Brandon, all of Houston; mother, Etta Hicks of Bedford; brothers, Jerry Brown of Dallas, Jay Hicks and wife, Melinda of Santa Fe; sister, Jackie Tomlinson and husband, George of Bedford; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2010, at Java Java Coffee Shop, 911 West 11th Street in Houston, with Reverend Bill Webb officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Coffee Shop. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Charlee Nicole Brown scholarship fund at Sterling Bank.
