Charles Haak

 

ALGOA – Mr. Charles Henry Haak, Jr. passed from this life Thursday, March

11, 2010, at his home.

 

    Born February 15, 1936 in Galveston, Mr. Haak had worked for many years as a

crane operator with Local 450, had served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air

Force, was a member of the Catholic faith and enjoyed inventing and

designing things such as airplanes and a truck that was powered by hydrogen.

He was a ham radio operator and donated countless hours to aid in

communications during local emergencies.

 

    Preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Emma (Bootsie) and Robert

Watts, and his first wife, Patricia, survivors include his wife of almost 10

years, Vanessa Haak; son, Wesley Haak, Sr. (Anita); step-daughters, Tasha

Story (Cezer Lopez), Tiffany Presley (Chris), Melissa Greear (Mike Fuerst);

brother, Raymond L. Haak (Gladys); grandchildren, Wesley, Jr., Kelly,

Dillon, Christopher, Austin, David, John, Lindsey; great-grandson, Nicholas

and nieces, Bridget Haak, Cecilia Gabba, Theresa Haak, Lucy Bourgeois and

Dolly Laymance.

 

    A private cremation was conducted by Hayes Funeral Home, (409) 925-3501.
