Charles Wade “Charlie” Norman
ARCADIA - Mr. Charles Wade “Charlie” Norman passed from this life Sunday morning, May 1, 2011, at his home.
Born November 9, 1941 in Alvin, TX, Mr. Norman had been a lifetime resident of Arcadia. He was employed as a medical illustrator for the Houston VA Hospital, was a former NASA design and flow chart drafter and proudly served our country in the United States Navy. In addition, he was active with the Arcadia Nursery, he enjoyed working with organic vegetables, farming animals and helping others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Earl and Ethel Anita (Holbert) Norman; brother, Frank Paul Norman; sister, Patricia Osborne.
Survivors include his loving wife of almost 43 years, Dianne Norman of Arcadia; son, David Wade Norman and wife, Laura Gale of Key Largo, FL; grandchildren, Nicholas Norman, Mitchell Norman both of Key Largo, FL; brothers, Thomas Norman and wife, Josephine of Arcadia, John Norman of Nashville, TN; special niece, Debbie Norman along with numerous other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Mr. John Norman officiating. A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
