Dustin Juan “Dusty” Salas

 

     SANTA FE - Mr. Dustin Juan “Dusty” Salas passed from this life Friday morning, October 31, 2008, in Alvin.

 

     Born February 1, 1983 in Texas City, TX, Dustin had been a lifelong resident of Santa Fe.  He had been employed as a pipefitter apprentice for 1˝ years at General Petrochem in Texas City, a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, and caring for his dogs. 

 

     He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Maria Salas and is survived by his parents, Juan (Johnny) and Gina Salas; the love of his life, Christina Chitty all of Santa Fe; sisters and brother, Angela Marie Salas of Webster, Juan F. Salas and wife, Sherrie of Austin, Jennifer Martin and husband, Steve of Dickinson; grandparents, Arland and J. Renae Goodson of Santa Fe; nephew, Lee Salas of Santa Fe; nieces, Sadie Hall of Dickinson, Isabella and Elena Salas both of Austin; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

     Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2008, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home.  A private cremation will be conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home with interment at a later date.

 

     Public viewing will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2008 at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501.
