Homer Strain

 

SANTA FE – Mr. F. Homer Strain passed from this life Friday, August 13, 2010, at his home.

 

     Born April 15, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mr. Strain had been a resident of the Santa Fe area for 40 years.  He had worked as a newspaper carrier for 25 years and had attended the Cowboy Chapel.

 

     Preceded in death by his wife, Audra (Peggy) Strain; step sons, George and Richard Small and brothers, Charles Edward, Chester Earl, and Harold Wayne “Bill” Strain, survivors include his daughters, Belinda Ann Longino (Sam), Lori Lynn Sanderson (Noel); son, John Matlock (Donna); mother, Dora Mae Jenkins; brother, Bob Strain; sisters, Beverly Hunter, Susie Groomer (Gilbert); sister-in-law, Gwen Strain; grandchildren, Julie and Thelma Toombs, Thomas Sanderson, Samantha Matlock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

     Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park with Pastor Tom Medlin officiating.

 

     Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
