Fred A. Fraser, Jr.

 

SANTA FE - Mr. Fred Alexander Fraser, Jr. passed from this life Monday afternoon, May 18, 2009, in Texas City.

 

     Born October 16, 1934 in Galveston, Mr. Fraser had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1964, previously of Galveston.  He served in the US Army, was an assistant treasurer with Guaranty Federal Bank for 22 years and owned Fraser Construction Company since 1974. Mr. Fraser was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, John Mitchell Masonic Lodge #1401 AF & AM, was an avid fisherman, but the love of Fred’s life was his grandson, Kyle, whom he adored.   

 

    Preceded in death by his parents, Fred Alexander and Eddie Lee (Heitman) Fraser, Sr., survivors include his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Thibodeaux “Dottie” Fraser of Santa Fe, son, Fred A. Fraser, III and wife, Jan of Santa Fe; stepsons, Hugh Clarke and wife, Christine of Austin, Jack Clarke and wife, Jessica of Galveston; grandson, Kyle A. Fraser; step grandchildren, Roxanne Clarke, Joel Clarke, Walter Clarke and David Clarke.  

 

     Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009, at All Saints Episcopal Church with Reverend Craig Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park with Masonic Rites under the auspices of John Mitchell Lodge.  

 

    Casketbearers will Shawn Dodson, Robert Groover, Robert Mann, Charles Neiman, Paul Niemi and Dennis Rhodes. Honorary bearers will be Calwin Campbell, Leonard Walton and Harold Morales.

      

     Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, (409) 925-3501.

 

     Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to All Saints Episcopal Church, 10416 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX 77563.
