Gregory Raymond Young
SANTA FE - Mr. Gregory Raymond Young passed from this life Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at home.
Born December 14, 1967 in Texas City, TX, Mr. Young had been a lifetime resident of Galveston County, living in Santa Fe all of his life. He had been self employed as a landscaper in the area for the past 20 years. Gregory enjoyed doing yard work, going to the beach, being outdoors and he especially loved children and nature.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Raye (Lloyd) Young and grandfather, Raymond R. Young.
Survivors include his father, Bill Young and wife, Charlene Hrna of Santa Fe; grandmothers, Jewell Young of Santa Fe, Lois Simpson of Lufkin; sister, Di- Ann (Young) Alvarado and partner, Jerry of Houston; nieces, Charlotte, Misti and Sarah; numerous aunts and uncles.
A cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. The family will hold a private memorial service for family and close friends on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at his mother’s graveside.
