Henry Mayeux
DICKINSON - Mr. Henry Mayeux passed from this life Monday morning, October 4, 2010, at his home.
Born June 18, 1949 in Galveston, TX, Mr. Mayeux had been a lifetime resident of Galveston County, living in Dickinson since 1991. He had been employed with ISP (formerly GAF) and was a member of the International Heavy Equipment Operators Union, Local 450 since 1971. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and received several commendations, including the Purple Heart, for his honorable service to our country. In civilian life he enjoyed watching television, tinkering with computers and other electronics and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 31 years, Barbara Mayeux of Dickinson; son, Hank Mayeux of Dickinson; daughter, Lynde Ann Smith of Dickinson; grandchild, Ireland Ann Smith of Dickinson; brothers, Larry Mayeux of League City, Robert Mayeux of Santa Fe, Jeff Mayeux of Texas City; special friends, Gary Bastoni, Jeff Sharp, Gary Turner, Kevin Burch and a host of coworkers at ISP.
Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor John Newton officiating.
