I D Kirkindall

 

TEXAS CITY - Mr. I D Kirkindall passed from this life Thursday, September 3, 2009, at his home.

 

     Born May 21, 1919 in Silsbee, TX, Mr. Kirkindall had been a resident of Galveston County for 25 years.  He had been employed as a Machinist with Union Carbide for 30 years, served in the US Navy and enjoyed spending time fishing, camping and gardening vegetables.

 

     He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers and is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Estelle Kirkindall; sons, Haskell Lee “Buddy” Morris of Vidor, TX, Dennis Wayne Kirkindall and wife, Virginia of Dickinson; daughter, Barbara Ann Marsh of St. Cruz, CA; grandchildren, Leslie Thompson, Haskell Morris, III, Buffy Gajeski and husband, Bill, Angela Lacy and husband, James, Janice Salvato and husband, Daniel, Josh Morris, Logan Morris; niece, Versenia Powell of Silsbee and 11 great-grandchildren.

 

     Funeral services will be conducted 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501, with Reverend John Kappe officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

 

     Casketbearers will be Rusty Ester, Bill Gajeski, Michael Gajeski, James Lacy, Chester Peden and Clay Polasek.
