     SANTA FE - Mr. Jack C. “Little Jack” Ryan, III passed from this life Sunday morning, May 11, 2008, in Santa Fe.
 
     Born November 28, 1976 in Galveston, TX, Mr. Ryan had primary been a resident of Santa Fe.  He had been self-employed as a carpenter with First Class Roofing and Remodeling throughout his working career. “Little Jack” had a passion for spending time with his wife; they had met in college as “Study Buddies” and enjoyed going to Disney World in Florida, the Riverwalk in San Antonio and fishing. 
 
     He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack C. Ryan, Sr. and is survived by his loving wife of 4 years, Heather Ryan of Santa Fe; parents, Jack and Kathy Ryan of Santa Fe, Barbara and Jimmy Barfield of Tennessee; parents-in-law, Candice and Curtis Allison of League City; faithful companion, his dog, Precious; grandmother, Tommie M. Ryan of New Boston; grandparents, Bill and Frances Teel of Santa Fe; brothers, Joe Earl Palmer of Florida, Douglas Smith, Jr. of Tennessee; sisters, Paula Marie Smith of Texas, Amy Granbery of Santa Fe; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
 
     Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Saladino officiating.  Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
 
     Casketbearers will be Billy Paul Hailey, Billy Paul Hailey, Jr., Patrick Milligan, Joe Earl Palmer, Jack Ryan, II and Brian Teel.  Honorary bearer will be Leroy Ryan.
 
     Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501.
 
     Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to any drug recovery program.
