James Arnold Wells
SANTA FE - Mr. James Arnold Wells passed from this life Wednesday morning, March 23, 2011, in Houston.
Born September 20, 1949 in Houston, TX to Arnold and Mary (Kellerman) Wells, Mr. Wells had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1975. He was a retired supervisor for Shell Oil Company after 25 years. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, a life member of VFW Post 5400 and DAV also a member of FOE Aerie 3789 and the Patriot Guard. Jim was a former Galveston County deputy, had worked for Morgan’s Point Police Dept., Shore Acres Police Dept. and El Jardin Volunteer Fire Dept. He enjoyed flying planes, riding motorcycles, fishing and watching football with his daughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, survivors include his loving wife of almost 26 years, Sandy Wells of Santa Fe; daughter, Jeana Tucker of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Tre` Barragan, James Gage Tucker; sister, Patsy Meza of La Porte.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Jones officiating.
Graveside service and interment will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by VFW Post 5400.
