James E. Nidiffer
SANTA FE – Mr. James E. “Jimmy” Nidiffer passed from this life Monday evening, November 22, 2010, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born September 7, 1944 in Galveston, Mr. Nidiffer had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1977, previously of Hitchcock. He had worked in the maintenance department at Sterling Chemicals for 20 years before retiring in 1999, was a member of the Pipefitter’s Local # 211 and enjoyed working in his garden and building and fixing things.
He is survived by his wife of over 46 years, Doris Nidiffer; daughter, Jamie Lynn Hildebrand (Tommy) of Santa Fe; sons, Daryl Lee Nidiffer of Seabrook, James Daren Nidiffer (Stephanie) of Richmond; sister, Georgia Ann Jones (Sammie) of Texas City; grandchildren, Whitney, Ashley and Taylor; sisters-in-law, Lois “Bootsie” Derouen (John), Micki LeFleur, Gloria Stine and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, Pastor Tom Medlin officiating. A private cremation has been conducted by Hayes Funeral Home, (409) 925-3501.
