Jerry Franklin Killgore

 

BAYOU VISTA - Mr. Jerry Franklin Killgore passed from this life Friday evening, April 16, 2010, at home.

 

     Born February 16, 1942 in Mexia, TX, Mr. Killgore had been a life long resident of Galveston County. He was a Ball High School graduate class of 1960, a U.S. Army veteran, had been employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for over 32 years as a cable repair technician and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Jerry enjoyed spending time together with his sons sailing, golfing and especially fishing.

 

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Granville Gilbert and Callie Rovella (McBride) Killgore; sisters, Sue Record, Betty Ortego and brother, Ronald Killgore.

 

     Survivors include his sons, James Killgore of Center, TX, John Killgore and wife, Leigh of Houston; sister, Patricia West and husband, Bennie of Hitchcock; numerous nieces and nephews and other family.

 

     Memorial services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501 with Pastor Bob Sarricchio officiating. Friends may call beginning at 9 a.m. before the service.  www.hayesfuneralhome.com
