Jerry Worley, Jr.


     SANTA FE - Mr. Jerry Lynn Worley, Jr. passed from this life Saturday evening, September 13, 2008, at his home.

     Born March 20, 1978 in Texas City, Jerry had been a lifelong resident of Santa Fe.  An outgoing young man, Jerry enjoyed reading, traveling and was a student of philosophy.  Jerry had “the luck of the Irish” with the spirit to match.  He was a self taught, gifted philosopher, who shared his knowledge generously.  He was highly honorable, intelligent, spiritual and diverse and will be extremely missed.

     Survivors include his parents, Jerry Lynn and Debra Ann (Bolton) Worley, Sr. of Santa Fe; brother, David Vaughn of Cleveland; sisters, Darla A. Moore and husband, Josh of San Diego, CA, Holly K. Worley of Santa Fe; nephew, Wyatt Moore of San Diego; grandparents, James and Juanita Bolton of LaMarque, Jack and Mary Worley of Santa Fe; and great-grandmother, Helen Bolton of Hitchcock; numerous aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins and his “wiggle nub” Otho and Kitty E.


     Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway Six, (409) 925-3501, with memorial services beginning at 7:00 p.m.


     Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to the Jerry Worley, Jr. Memorial Fund, Texas First Bank of Santa Fe, 12402 Highway Six, Santa Fe, Texas 77591 or the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 5615 Kirby Drive, #500, Houston, TX 77005.
