John N. Colton
TEXAS CITY - Mr. John N. Colton passed from this life Sunday afternoon, September 20, 2009, in Pasadena.
Born September 2, 1917 in Burlington, Iowa, Mr. Colton had been a resident of Texas City for over 60 years and had been employed as a boilermaker with Union Carbide for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Nathaniel and Jane (Dunn) Colton and his granddaughter, Kimberly Click.
Survivors include his son, Jerry Colton and wife, Antonia of Bayou Vista and Pasadena and daughters, Sandra Jacobson, Joy Dasso and husband, Fred, all of Illinois; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501.
