                                                                            Karl Ross Morgan


SANTA FE - Mr. Karl Ross Morgan passed from this life Saturday morning, October 11, 2008, at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center.


    Born December 22, 1950 in Alvin, Mr. Morgan had been a resident of Santa Fe his entire life. Mr. Morgan had been rotating equipment expert with Revak for 23 years and served in the US Marine Corps for 9 years. He loved the outdoors enjoyed horses, guns, cars, music and especially enjoyed being with his family. 


    He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Albertine (Morgan) Powers; grandmother, Louise Morgan Price and grandfather, Martin Morgan, Sr.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, 7 months and 4 days, Bettie Morgan of Santa Fe; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Morgan and Sheryl Adair of Santa Fe, Kevinn and Nancy Morgan of Splendora, Kristofer Morgan of Santa Fe; brothers, Chuck Powers and wife, Rebekah of Arcadia, Donald Powers of Pearland, Ray Edwards of Galveston, Joe Gerky of Texas City; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and James Nicholson of Brazosport; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.


    Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Vincent officiating.  Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin.


    Casketbearers will be Zane Morgan, Brad Elfstrom, Brian Barclay, Dan’l Madewell, Charlie Powers and Josh Williams.
