Kim Alan Ravey

 

SANTA FE - Mr. Kim Alan Ravey passed from this life Wednesday evening, May 4, 2011, at UTMB in Galveston.

 

     Born June 6, 1953 in Galveston, TX, Mr. Ravey had been a resident of Santa Fe for 11 years, previously of League City.  He had been employed as an operations supervisor with BP/AMOCO for 32 years and was of the Catholic faith.  Kim enjoyed working crossword puzzles, Bar-B-Queing and NASCAR.

 

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Veda (Duggan) Ravey; parents-in-law, Enith and Alta Roff.

 

     He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Debbie Ravey of Santa Fe; stepson, John Lantrip; grandchildren, Abigail Lantrip, Jude Lantrip; brother, Danny Ravey and wife, Annette of Kemah; sisters, Cheryl Young and husband, Duane, Elizabeth Powell, all of Santa Fe; sister-in-law, Billie Adkins of Angleton; numerous nieces and nephews.

 

     A funeral service will be conducted 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor J. Morris officiating.  Graveside service and interment will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, at Forest Park East Cemetery.

 

     Casketbearers will be Mark Hardwick, Caleb Powell, James Powell, Danny Ravey, Ethan Ravey and Jared Ravey. Honorary Casketbearers will be Ray Hawkins, Ms. Cameron Powell, Robbie Robinson, Charles Swilley, Donald Swilley, Ronnie Swilley, Jim Vowell and Duane Young.
