Kirk A. Bishop

 

     SANTA FE - Mr. Kirk A. Bishop passed from this life Monday, February 18, 2008, in Houston after a brief illness.

 

     Born December 15, 1948 in Orange, TX, Mr. Bishop had been a resident of Santa Fe for 7 months, previously a 21-year resident of the Texas City area.  An electrician for over 35 years, he had been a longtime member of Electrical Local #527 in Galveston and had been employed as an electrician with KBR, working in Iraq for the past 2˝ years.   Kirk had been a member of Calvary Crossroads Church and enjoyed spending time sitting and relaxing at the beach. 

 

     Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Sherry Bishop; son, Patrick Bishop of Santa Fe; daughter, Genné Blevins and husband, Drew of Benton, KS; grandchildren, Corbin Aiden Blevins, Zane Alexander Blevins; brother, Dennis Bishop of Orange; and sister, Carol Bishop of Santa Fe.

 

     Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2008, at Calvary Crossroads Church with Pastor Del Toler officiating.  A private cremation will be conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501.

 

     Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to the Calvary Crossroads Church Building Fund, 3810 FM 646 N., Santa Fe, TX 77510.
