Melvin James Enmon

 

HITCHCOCK - Mr. Melvin James Enmon passed from this life Thursday morning, April 21, 2011, in Webster.

 

     Born January 31, 1918 in Shelbyville, TX, Mr. Enmon had been a resident of Hitchcock since 1952.  He had been employed with Union Carbide as an operator for 35 years, and had proudly served our country in the United States Army during WWII.  Melvin was a simple man who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his wife, and always put his family first.

 

     He was preceded in death by his previous wife, Fern Enmon; daughters, Nancy Enmon and Carolyn Worick; brother, Clyde Enmon.

 

     Survivors include his loving wife of 14 years, Rvell Enmon of Hitchcock; daughter, Pat Poehls and husband, Glenn of Rosenberg; grandchildren, Larry Roberts and wife, Missy of Concan, Ricky Landriault and wife, Nance of Livingston, Connie Seagroves, Rhonda Decker and Mark Jones; numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

 

     Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2011, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Miller officiating.  Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.

 

     Casketbearers will be Clyde Enmon, Jr., Melvin Enmon, Jr., Richard Enmon, Derek Gaspard Boyd McDonald and Earl McDonald.
