Paul John Kovar, Jr.
TRINITY – Mr. Paul John Kovar, Jr. passed from this life Friday evening, April 2, 2010, in Trinity.
Born July 24, 1918, in Megaigel, TX, Mr. Kovar had been a longtime resident of LaMarque until 2005 when he moved to Trinity. He was a pipefitter with American Oil Company for 25 years and served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Kovar was a member of the AFLCIO, VFW Post # 5400 and enjoyed, bowling, blacksmithing and shoeing horses.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Haynes) Kovar; parents, Paul John and Alma (Stuenberg) Kovar, Sr.
Survivors include his daughters, Alma Duff and husband, Carl of Trinity, Kathryn Lynn Hightower and husband, Ed (Sonny) of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Paula Perez, Daryl Duff, Brian Duff, Cherie Alvis; great-grandchildren, Blake Hightower, Catherine Garza, Joe Perez, Jordan Perez, Brianna Duff , Ethan Jacob Duff; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park with Mr. Damon Baker officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. www.hayesfuneralhome.com
