Royce Winston White

 

SANTA FE - Mr. Royce Winston White passed from this life Friday afternoon, November 27, 2009, at his home.

 

     Born July 27, 1930 in De Kalb, TX, Mr. White had been a resident of Santa Fe for 36 years, previously of Pasadena.  He graduated from San Jacinto College with an associate’s degree and had been employed as a lab analyst for Monsanto Chocolate Bayou for 23 years.  Royce was a hard working family man who was always fiddling and fixing things and was know for duct taping things together.  He especially enjoyed driving through the mountains in Colorado and made his grandchildren his pride and joy.  He was a wonderful father and father-in-law to his sons and daughters-in-law who loved him dearly.

 

     Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Bobbie Jane White; parents, Robert Houston and Vina (Chasteen) White.

 

     Survivors include his sons, Gregory Winston White, Sr. and wife, Susie, Jeffery Lee White and wife, Rhonda, all of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Gregory Winston White, Jr. and wife, Laura, Cassandra Dale White, Kristin Anne Catching, Melissa Renee Catching-Moy, Ashley Nicole Webber, Kristin Alise White, Bryan David Russell; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Alexis Warren, Cameryn Nicole Warren, Chandler Warren, Lillian Elizabeth White, Madalynn Moy, Macie Moy and the twins, London Eve White and Layla Jane White; brother, Jackie White and wife, Rowena of Bellaire; sisters, Pat Hood and husband, Bill of Stafford, Billie Bob White and husband, Toby of Maude, TX; brothers-in-law, James Harvey Bridwell of Round Rock, Leamon Edwin Bridwell and wife, Tina of Center, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

 

     A private cremation will be conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501.

 

     Mr. White’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Compassus Hospice and especially to Sandy Mata for their love and care.
