Rudy Arthur Bleimeyer
SANTA FE – Mr. Rudy Arthur Bleimeyer passed from this life Monday morning, February 14, 2011, peacefully at his home.
Born December 13, 1926 in Galveston, TX, Mr. Bleimeyer had been a lifetime resident of Galveston County, living in Santa Fe since 1975, previously of Texas City. He had been employed with Local 132 as a boilermaker for over 35 years, retiring in 1989. Rudy had been a former member of the La Marque Elks Lodge, and enjoyed dancing, racing cars, boxing and was a very proud BOI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Frank, Sr., and Ida Mae (Therow) Howe; son, Gary Mackechney; brother, William Frank Bleimeyer, Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 43 years, Edna Bleimeyer of Santa Fe; daughters, Kelli Beaty and husband, Roy of League City, Vicki Jernigan of Corpus Christi, Linda Bicek of San Leon, Jeannine De La Rosa of Deer Park; sons, Kevin Mackechney of Santa Fe, Marshall Taylor of Pasadena; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two on the way; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends; sisters, Helen Mancuso of Round Rock, Betty Callahan of Santa Fe.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Robeson officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Kevin Alleman, Roy Beaty, LCPL Brent Faust, Kevin Mackechney, Walter Mackechney, Ron Pride, Jr.
