Aurora Lee Jackson
BERTRAM – Mrs. Aurora Lee (Clarke) Jackson passed from this life Saturday morning, September 29, 2007, in Bertram, Texas. Born September 21, 1921 in Corpus Christi, Mrs. Jackson had lived in Beeville from 1947 to 1969 and Fulton from 1969 until her move to Bertram in January of 2006. She was a lifelong homemaker, had been an active member of Rockport Church of Christ for many years and was currently a member of the Oatmeal Church of Christ. Mrs. Jackson enjoyed ceramics and will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother who was strong in her beliefs.
Preceded in death by her husband of almost 59 years, Frank W. Jackson, Jr. and her mother, Eloise (Chaffin) Gilbert, survivors include her children and their spouses, Frank W. Jackson, III and wife, Charlotte of Santa Fe, Carol Lee Allen and husband, James of Bertram, Mark L. and Sylvia Jackson of Marshall; grandchildren, Wendy Brown, Jennifer Maus, Dawn Byars, Richard Miller, Jeffrey Miller and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2007, at Midway Church of Christ with Mr. Russell McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Casketbearers will be Justin Brown, Brandon Byars, Michael Gray, Phillip Maus, Jeffrey Miller and Richard Miller.
