CANYON CITY- Bertha Kileen Zinck, 80, of Canon City passed away July 28, 2011 in Canon City, CO.
Bertha was born in Arrey, NM on November 16, 1930 to Adam D. and Mary E. (Davis) Patchen. On September 8, 1953, she was united in marriage to Louis R. Zinck in Bayard, NM. A resident of Canon City since 1992, Bertha was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of the Church of Christ. Bertha was a very loving and dedicated Christian. She taught bible classes and a special teen girls “Darcus” class for many years.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Kileen Zinck; her parents; and sister, Joan Truman.
Bertha is survived by her husband of 57 years, Louis; son, Larry (Connie) Zinck; daughter, Diana (John) Roberts; seven grandchildren, Nathan Zinck, Daniel Zinck, Andrew Zinck, Jonathan Zinck, Timothy Roberts, Alicia Roberts and Justin Roberts; brother, Donald Moseley; and two nieces.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Church of Christ, 1718 Franklin Ave. in Canon City with Pastor Gary Colvin officiating, under the direction of Holt Family Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas with Mr. John Roberts officiating. Burial will take place under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
