SANTA FE - Mrs. Isabell Dorothy Wainscott passed from this life Tuesday afternoon, December 29, 2009, at her home.
Born February 2, 1943 in Tylertown, MS, Mrs. Wainscott had been a resident of Santa Fe for 35 years, previously of Freeport where she grew up. She had been employed as test desk technician for 24 years with Southwestern Bell and retired in 1999 after 34 years of devoted service. She enjoyed spending her time raising Koi fish, chickens and tending to her flowers. She especially loved and will be missed by her loyal 4-legged companions, Emma, Bentley and Lexus.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Varnell Magee Maier and her brother, James Donald Maier.
Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, Larry Joe Wainscott, Sr.; daughter, Michelle Hoffpauir; sons, Larry Wainscott, Jr., Jeffrey Wainscott; 6 grandchildren including her special grandson, T. J. Brandon, Jr. and wife, Michelle; father, Harvey W. Maier, Sr.; brother, Harvey W. Maier, Jr. and companion, Brenda; sister, Joyce Ann Curry and husband, James; numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2010, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor John Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East.
Casketbearers will be T. J. Brandon, Jr., James Curry, Harvey Maier, Jr., Dale Morgan, Jeffery Wainscott and Shawn Wainscott.
