Edith Aline Finley

 

BACLIFF - Mrs. Edith Aline Finley passed from this life Friday afternoon December 2, 2011, in Webster.

 

     Born September 3, 1921 in Dennison, Texas; Mrs. Finley had been a resident of Galveston County for most of her life. She was retired from the grocery business after 20 years, was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

 

    Preceded in death by her parents, James and Ola Hogan; sisters, Ruby Riley, Marie Loveless; grandson, Scott Williams; son-in-law, James Mills; survivors include her loving husband of 69 years, William D. Finley; daughters, Gloria Johnston and husband, Robert, Shirley Ann Foster, Kathy Mills; son, William D. Finley, Jr. and wife, Lonna; grandchildren, Kimberly Harvey, Khristi Hardee, Trey Finley, Jamie Finley; great-grandchildren, Christian Harvey, Makayla Harvey, Isaac Brown, TJ Black, Katie Mullen, Destinee Hardee, Reagan Hardee, Levi Wahlstrom and Stetson Wahlstrom.

 

    Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

 

     Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Brother Dick Sumner officiating, (409) 925-3501.
