Eloisa H. “Nonnie” Moore

 

SANTA FE - Mrs. Eloisa H. Moore passed from this life Thursday morning, November 19, 2009, in Texas City.

 

     Born November 13, 1947 in Dilley, TX, Mrs. Moore had been a resident of Santa Fe for over 20 years, previously of Houston.  She had been employed as a caregiver for 34 years and was a member of Dayspring Christian Center. Mrs. Moore enjoyed traveling, reading, helping people and spending time with her family. “Nonnie” will lovingly remembered as the “Taxi Driver” by the children whose lives she touched.  

 

     Preceded in death by her parents, Eloy and Martha (Cruz) Herrera, Sr. and brother, Eloy Herrera, Jr.; she is survived by her beloved husband, Albert H. Moore; son, Albert H. Moore, II. both of Santa Fe; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ada and Domingo Gonzales, Nelda and Mike Jackson, all of Santa Fe, Josie and Don Horton of Pasadena; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces; great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

 

     A Memorial Service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2009, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Vincent officiating.  A private cremation will follow under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
