Faustina Torres
HITCHCOCK - Mrs. Faustina Torres passed from this life Tuesday evening, April 21, 2009, in Webster.
Born February 15, 1930 in Mercedes, TX, Mrs. Torres had been a resident of Hitchcock for 50 years, previously of Galveston. She had been a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the Guadalupanas and enjoyed spending her time gardening flowers and taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Jose Ascencion Torres; son, Francisco Torres; granddaughters, Kassandra Dominguez, Lilliana Dominguez and Maria Dominguez.
Survivors include her daughters, Estela Torres, Beatrice Torres, both of Alvin, Juana Alicia Dominguez and husband, Jose of Galveston; grandchildren, Jose Israel Dominguez and wife, Jessica, Victor Alfonso Dominguez, Mario Enrique Dominguez; great-grandchildren, Annaliz Dominguez, Emmah Dominguez, Israel Dominguez; brothers, Eduardo Santana and wife, Guadalupe of Las Milpas, TX, Santiago Santana and wife, Juanita of Reynosa, Mexico; sister, Dolores Garcia of McAllen, TX.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Reverend John Kappe, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Casketbearers will be Jose Dominguez, Jose Israel Dominguez, Mario Enrique Dominguez, Alejandro Garcia, Joseph Sopko, Jr. and Ramiro Vargas.
Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501, with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Joe Kelly officiating. A Rosary will follow recited by the Guadalupanas.
