Heather Jean Reddick

 

SANTA FE - Mrs. Heather Jean Reddick passed from this life Wednesday morning, January 21, 2009, in Texas City on her 86th birthday.

 

     Born January 21, 1923 in Belvedere Kent, England, Mrs. Reddick had been a resident of Santa Fe for 9 years, previously of Houston.  She had been employed as an office manager at various doctor’s and dentist’s offices, was a member of Arcadia Christian Church, past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star-Andral Vann Chapter #741 in Houston, SPJST Lodge #88 in Houston, former hospital volunteer at Mainland Medical Center and was a member of Glen Brook Garden Club in Houston. 

 

     She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Vera (Golding) Ferguson; husbands, Frank Atkin, Frederick Dodds and Lt. Col. Robert E. Reddick and survived by her beloved daughter, Jean Salazar and husband, Rumaldo of Santa Fe; granddaughter, Shellie Snyder of Santa Fe; grandsons, James and Freddie Bares both of Houston; great-grandsons, Shane Bares of Santa Fe and Brian Bares of Cerulean, KY; her beloved pets, Blue and Pippa.

 

     Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2009, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Medlin officiating.  A private interment will follow.

 

     Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501.
