Helen Marie Putnal
GALVESTON - Mrs. Helen Marie Putnal passed from this life Monday evening, September 28, 2009, in League City.
Born October 27, 1931 in Nashville, Georgia, Mrs. Putnal had been a resident of Galveston for most of her life. She had been a homemaker and attended University Baptist Church and Island Church where she enjoyed singing and, she especially loved her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clifford Putnal; parents, Loran LaFayette and Letha (Brantley) Lee; brothers, Johnny Eugene Lee and Robert Edward Lee.
Survivors include her sons, Stephen Putnal of Santa Fe, Michael Putnal and his girlfriend, Karen Krnavek of League City; daughters, Sandy Kerzee and husband, Don, Sr. of Galveston; daughter-in-law, Tammy Putnal; grandchildren, Donny Kerzee, Jr., Stacey McKinney and husband, John, Shawn Kerzee and wife, Sandra, Stephanie Rodriguez, and husband, Steven, Jessica Quinn and husband, Dan, Jason Putnal and wife, Adrienne, Justin Putnal; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Lewis of Adel, GA; brother-in-law, Mitch Abrecht; sister-in-law, Shirley Miller; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2009, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Bishop Delbert Herrin officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Donny Kerzee, Jr., Josh Kerzee, Patrick Kerzee, Shawn Kerzee, Brandon McKinney, Jason Putnal and Justin Putnal.
