Jane Louise (Janie) Carr
LAMARQUE - Mrs. Jane “Janie” Carr, 64, of LaMarque passed away on Sunday morning, December 27, 2009, at residence after her battle with cancer.
Janie was born in Hanford, California in April 12, 1945. She was raised in Olathe, Kansas and moved to LaMarque in 1974. Janie graduated from Olathe High School (North) in 1963. Janie worked for Food King and Baywood Grocery until she retired, attended LaMarque First Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Mrs. Carr was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Nadine and father, Lois Edwards Mills.
Survivors are her husband of over 33 years, Jerry Carr of LaMarque; brothers, Charles and wife, Betty Jo, James and wife, Beverly; sister, Margie Ann Mills, all of Olathe, Kansas. She also has numerous nephews, nieces, other family and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009, in the Chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor John Newton officiating. Entombment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Mausoleum.
