Jean Armantrout
SANTA FE - Mrs. Willie Jean Armantrout passed from this life Thursday, December 3, 2009, in Texas City.
Mrs. Armantrout was born September 2, 1915 in Geneva, Alabama. She moved to Galveston in 1949 and had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1963. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church for many years and was also a member of AARP #1314 and Senior Friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Roscoe Armantrout and sons, Charles Patterson, Gary and Ralph Armantrout. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Armantrout of Santa Fe; sister Hilda Carr of Sampson, Alabama; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2009, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, with Reverend Bill Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5- 8 p.m. Sunday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
