Jeanine (Frisbie) Bright

 

SANTA FE - Mrs. Jeanine (Frisbie) Bright 82, triumphantly charged through the gates of heaven into the awaiting arms of her heavenly father May 24, 2011 after a six month battle with lung cancer.

 

     Also there to greet her was her husband, Ivan Bright, Sr.; parents, Quinn Edward and Irma (Boysen) Frisbie; sister, Dora Belle Goodrum; brother, Jack Frisbie and a host of other relatives and friends.

 

     She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her children, Linda Wheatley and husband, Mike of Alvin, Ivan Bright, Jr., and wife, Lou Ann of Algoa, Sandra Stout and husband, Stuart of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Robert “Bobby” Clarac, Jr. and wife, Lori, Richard Clarac and wife, Ashley, Lori Ann Thomas and husband, William, Crystal Lynn Knapp; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; sisters-in-law, Velma Warner of Webster and Betty Gates of Crockett; numerous nieces, nephews and too many friends to mention including her best friend, her fox terrier, “Misty.

 

     Jeanine was born in Cuero, Texas were she attended Cuero High School.  After the graduation of her youngest child in 1974 she began working in the cafeteria at Santa Fe Schools, retiring 25 years later as manager of the Junior High cafeteria.  She worked as a week-end cashier at Julia’s Restaurant in Alvin until her illness.

 

     Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2011, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Allen officiating.  Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

     Casketbearers will be Bobby Clarac, Richard Clarac, Stuart Stout, William Thomas, Edward Wagner, and Mike Wheatley. Honorary bearers will be Chris Hansen, Andy Paoli and Floyd Wallace.

 

     Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.  
 

     Mrs. Bright’s family would like to thank Dr. Warren T. Longmire, Dr. Harvey Slusky, Dr. Suzanne Mc Clure, Dr. Alfred Maksoud, Dr. Robert Dewitt, the oncology department of Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, The Pointe Rehabilitation and Health Care and A-Med Hospice for their loving care.
