Kathleen Delight Horton

 

DALLAS - Mrs. Kathleen Delight Horton passed from this life Monday afternoon, March 9, 2009, at the home of her daughter.

 

     Born September 20, 1926 in Purdin, Missouri, Mrs. Horton had been a resident of Dallas for 2 years, previously of Sun City, Arizona and Santa Fe, Texas.  She had been employed as a bookkeeper with McCarthy Truck Line in Trenton, Missouri for over 15 years.   Kathleen loved to paint, travel and was an avid NASCAR fan, especially for Dale Ernhart, Jr.

 

     She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Clifford Eugene Horton; grandson, Christopher Edward Horton; parents, Paul and Golda Porter.

 

     Survivors include her son, Kenton Horton of Algoa; daughter, Peggy Hatt and husband, George of Dallas; grandchildren, Timothy Horton, Kamie Horton, Alexis Hatt Reichert; great-grandson, Bryson Horton.

 

     Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Tom Medlin officiating.  Services are being rendered under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
