Mamie Dee (Ballard) Trim
SANTA FE - Mrs. Mamie Dee (Ballard) Trim passed from this life Wednesday morning, May 6, 2009, at her home.
Born February 16, 1925 in McCool, MS, Mrs. Trim had been a resident of Santa Fe for 37 years. She had been employed as a housekeeper with UTMB Hospital for 35 years, was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time gardening, collecting clocks, ceramics and most of all loved her family and looking after her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 31 years, Harvey Ballard; son, Robert Lamar Ballard; 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Rex Ballard, Sr., Mark Ballard and wife, Pat; daughter, Peggy Wardell, all of Santa Fe; sister, Reba Moor of Forestburg, TX; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson and many more she took to heart.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009, in the Chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Courtright officiating.
Casketbearers will be Sgt. Arthur W. Carpenter, IV, USMC, Mike Eubanks, Thomas Hennigan, Michael Lausch, Danny Lea, Joey Moor, Gary Simmons, Phil Stevenson and Ronnie Stevenson.
