Manon Edwards
ALGOA – Mrs. Manon Carrie Edwards passed from this life Sunday, March 1, 2009, at her home.
Born March 29, 1912 in Hunt County, Mrs. Edwards had been a resident of Algoa since 1970. She was a member of Gospel Assembly – Dickinson and will be remembered as a good Christian woman who gave her all to her family.
Preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Bob Edwards and son, Billy Gene Edwards, survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Susie Edwards of Corpus Christi; daughters and son-in-law, Jeanette Wooten of Algoa, Patsy and Robert Seaton of Pasadena, Sandra Barnec and Barbara Strawn, both of Algoa; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2009, at Gospel Assembly-Dickinson, 4107 Alabama Street. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery in Corpus Christi under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
