Martha (Carrizales) Cruz
SANTA FE - Mrs. Martha (Carrizales) Cruz passed from this life Thursday morning, March 6, 2008.
Born January 2, 1930 in Gonzales, Texas, Mrs. Cruz had been a resident of Santa Fe for 44 years, previously of Dilly, TX. She had been employed as a cook at the Busy Bee and Holiday Inn in Alvin for 13 ½ years, attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling, dancing and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Maria; brothers, Martin and Santos Carrizales.
Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Jose Cruz; daughters, Eloisa Moore and husband, Albert, Ada Gonzales and husband, Domingo, Nelda B. Jackson and husband, Mike, Josie Taylor; brothers, Manuel, III, Nick, Alex, Robert, Juan Jose Carrizales; sisters, Petra Godina, Mary Ann Cruz; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Reverend John Kappe, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 – 8 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2008 at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501. A vigil service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m.
